“On this day, I vow to be completely yours forever.”
I have been waiting to share these images from this Highland proposal for some time now!! Ben is a co-worker of a bride of mine and loved seeing her engagement photos so much that he decided to call me to capture his own proposal to his sweetheart, Mary-Alyx. As any photographer will tell you, proposals are so exciting and somewhat stressful. But at least we don’t have to get down on our knee and ask that question ourselves! Guys, I give you all the kudos.
He took Mary-Alyx around to some of their favorite Birmingham spots one Saturday afternoon in February. He gave me a good 30 minutes heads up before he showed up with his bride to be. He told me he wanted to propose in the court yard of the Garage Cafe in the historic Highland Avenue area. I had never been there before but I will definitely be visiting again. There so many antiques to look at!!
The funny thing is that I was the only other person out there, so I had to take “distraction photos” of all the antiques in the court yard… which was all part of Benjamin’s master plan.
He asked Mary-Alyx and I jumped to snap the moment he got on his knee and asked Mary-Alyx to be his bride. After all the shock and sweet kisses, they followed me to a Rhodes Park to snap a few more photos to mark the moment!
Ben planned for his and Mary-Alyx’s families to have an intimate dinner and cake to celebrate! To see their entire story go visit their “How He Asked” link here.
Congratulations again friends!!
xoxo
