“Two hearts in love need no words.” —Marceline Desbordes-Valmore
Emily and Dylan are some of the (newest) sweetest friends I had the pleasure of photographing. I met Emily one night to talk about her big day and we instantly connected. She told me she wanted her day to be timeless, romantic and God-centered and it was everything she wanted and more. They got married on a gorgeous September day and they said their vows under the stunning open air chapel at the 4H center in Columbiana Alabama.
Dylan and Emily met while they were both in college and even went through some years of long distance. They knew they had found their soul mate and were not going to let a few hours of driving/distance stand in the way of their destiny. You can see their engagement session HERE.
Emily decided she wanted to do a first look not only with her groom, but her bridesmaids and dad as well. Daddy-Daughter first looks always give me the good feels. Then came the time for their own special moment. They were both so ecstatic to start their marriage. One of the specific things Emily said she envisioned on her big day was for Dylan to see her for the first time on the dock near the chapel. It was such a sweet and perfect moment. They both smiled with joy and Dylan could not keep his eyes off of his bride. They wanted to walk along the dock and take in those moments with one another before they said their “I do’s”.
A sentimental and beautiful tradition at their ceremony was the rope braiding ceremony. Each one of the ropes represented the bride, groom and the Lord. The verse above their display stated, “A cord of three strands is not quickly broken. -Ephesians 4:12”.
At their reception they were ready to party! Emily and Dylan gave out glow sticks! So much fun! They made their grand exit on a golf cart (again so fun)!
Emily and Dylan I truly loved every moment of your big day. Being around you is pure joy. Congratulations again on you marriage!
